An Honor-able first full week of rehearsals

Posted on Wednesday 24th April, 2019

Honor has danced with LCB in 3 tours and this is now her second time in the West End company. Here she reflects on her time with LCB and what it means to her:'

My first time with LCB was performing in Nanny McPhee with Main Company.  I was ‘behind the green baize curtain’ as a kitchen maid and my two brothers teased me that when (if?!) they came to watch they wouldn’t even be able to see. However, my role was lots of fun with dancing and acting combined.  After three amazing Tours I’m delighted to be back in Company for Ballet Shoes.  This is my last year, as I’m the grand age of 14, so this is a special way to end my dancing with the LCB Family.  Rehearsals are now well under way and it’s been great to start to get to know the others - some of whom are familiar faces from previous years, friendships are one of the many lovely bits about LCB.  A favourite part for me is learning new choreography.  Ruth and Laura bring their knowledge and experiences and I love them sharing that with us.  I remember the very tall, ‘old 14 year olds’ when I was just nine, and how they helped me out.  I’m trying to that this time around - the years have gone very fast.  THANK YOU LCB for letting me dance again - I love it.
