Jamie: A rush of happiness

Posted on Tuesday 7th April, 2015

Hi, I’m Jamie. This is my second year with LCB and I am enjoying it just as much as I did last year. Once I walk into the studio I never want to leave, I feel a buzz of excitement. Even if you don’t know any one , there’s always someone there to be your friend.

Being in LCB is so much fun. I love learning new dances and techniques every week and I always look forward to the next rehearsal. This week, we are rehearsing everyday over the Easter holidays, it’s really intense and tiring but so much fun. This is the most exciting part, apart from the actual shows obviously, everyone is really looking forward to the shows and we are finally seeing the whole production and I feel this rush of happiness seeing what all our hard work has been for! In rehearsals I was used as a human skipping rope, I was turned all the way round, I was so scared that I was going to be dropped. Actually it was really fun and all the other boys were laughing.

Next are dress rehearsals, the costumes make it even more real (and nerve-wracking) , you finally realise that in 3 weeks it is all going to start! LCB has let me realise my dreams even more and I never want it to end. Apart from all the amazing memories and friends I take with me, I also leave with an even greater dream, I want to do this all day, every day.
