School Workshops

For all primary schools that attend Ballet for £1, LCB offers a free half-day dance workshop in their school, themed around the ballet the children have just seen. The aim of these workshops is to expand horizons and break down perceived barriers to ballet. Workshops are fully interactive, led by two dynamic dance teachers and a professional pianist. After a short introductory film, featuring LCB young dancers, the children have the opportunity to try steps out for themselves. The pianist introduces the children to a range of music and the group learns about movement, choreography and costumes.
