Summer School
LCB runs two weeks non-residential Summer school and a boys intensive during July and August. All are welcome, no audition required.
We accept applications from children who do not live in the UK. Please note that we do not provide bursaries for overseas students, and require that English is understood and spoken.
A small number of full and half grants are offered for each Summer school. If you would like to apply for a grant, please email us for a application form.
2025 DATES
Week 1: 21st - 25th July (Girls only 12-14yrs)
Week 2: 28th July - 1st August (All dancers 9-11yrs)
Boys Summer Intensive: 30th - 31st August (Boys only 9-12yrs)

Summer School
LCB's Performance Summer School is an opportunity for dancers aged 9- 14 years to take part in a variety of classes and performance workshops. It is a fun packed week and is a great way for children to make new friends who also love dance. A highlight of the programme is special performances from dancers currently working in the industry. The summer school includes a daily ballet class, repertoire, jazz, contemporary, Musical Theatre, professional demonstrations, and pointe class (for those en pointe, 12-14 years week only). On the last day the children will perform LCB repertoire and a showcase of what they have been working on during the week.

Boys Summer Intensive
We are excited to announce our boys summer intensive for boys age 9-12 years, which will be led by LCB Acting Artistic Director Jenna Lee and Royal Ballet lower school teacher James Butcher. During this two day intensive programme, the boys will focus not only on ballet and virtuosity, they will also learn ballet repertoire, and explore contemporary and creative tasks.
We hope this intensive programme will give dancers a taste of what dancing with LCB is like and inspire them to come to audition in the autumn, as well as sharing their love of ballet with other likeminded students.
