LCB2 Summer Workshops

Director: Fiona Chadwick, Former Principal Dancer with the Royal Ballet

London Children’s Ballet summer programme (LCB2) is an opportunity for young dancers aged 8 to 16 to work with LCB team on their classical ballet technique and enjoy a variety of classes and workshops based on all aspects of performance.

All are welcome and classes will be streamed by technical standard and age, so that dancers of all levels will be challenged and have the opportunity to make new friends. The objective is to have fun and help improve their skills by breaking down the many attributes required for a strong performance.

LCB2 will also offer demonstrations, talks and question/ answer sessions led by well known Royal Ballet/ English National Ballet dancers.

Please note that summer school is now fully booked

Ballet for Boys

Narrative ballets need boys, but boys often drop out because they find themselves alone in a room full of girls and think ‘maybe not’. As a result of that, LCB has developed ‘Ballet for Boys’ - a seven week course for boys only. Neil Westmoreland will be teaching on Sunday afternoons and the course will provide an opportunity for boys to dance with other boys and get personal instruction of the highest quality.

Neil Westmoreland who leads Ballet for Boys said: ‘It's rare to have more than one boy in a ballet class of 30. Forming this large male-only group showed them that they're not alone'
